Online registration for DU Special Convocation started

A special convocation of Dhaka University will be held on October 26 at the university's central playground to confer the Doctor of Laws (posthumous) degree on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Registration for current students, teachers, alumni and registered graduates of the university interested in participating in the 'Special Convocation 2023' has started from September 1 (Friday). The participants have to complete the online registration process by September 15.

Special Convocation Registration Process

Teachers will complete the registration process by logging into their respective profiles on the Dhaka University web portal (https://ssl.du.ac.bd/login) and clicking on the 'Special Convocation' menu on the left side and providing the necessary information in the registration form.

Registered graduates can complete the registration process by clicking on the Register menu on the https://convocation.du.ac.bd portal and following the steps below—

1. First select Registered Graduate radio button and click on Next button.

2. Enter your Registered Graduate Registration Number and click on the Next button. Lifetime registered graduates of Dhaka University can check their registered graduate registration number from https://reggrad.du.ac.bd/voter_list_lifetime site.

3. In the next step you can complete the registration process by providing your other information.

Note that at one stage of the registration process you will need an active mobile number, recent photograph and scanned copy of National Identity Card.                                                                               

Alumni members can complete the registration process by clicking on the Register menu on the https://convocation.du.ac.bd portal and following the steps below—

1. First select Alumni radio button and click Next button.

2. Enter the mobile number that you have registered in the Dhaka University Alumni Association Life Members Database and click on the Next button. If you are not sure which mobile number is registered in this database, please contact Dhaka University Alumni Association office.

3. In the next step you can complete the registration process by providing your other information. A scanned copy of your recent photograph and national identity card will be required at one stage of the registration process.

Please note that the mobile number provided by you will be verified before completing the registration.

After completing the registration process, students and teachers can download the souvenir collection receipt and registration form by logging into their dashboard and registered graduate and alumni members at https://convocation.du.ac.bd portal.

Collection of invitations and costumes

Teachers will collect souvenirs, invitations and costumes from Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on October 23 and 25 from 10 am to 4 pm by submitting the souvenir collection receipt.

Registered Graduate and Alumni members will collect the souvenir and invitation from the same date, time and place by submitting the copy of the downloaded form. Students will collect souvenirs and invitations from their respective faculties on October 23 and 25 from 10 am to 4 pm by submitting the souvenir collection receipt.

Note that the number of seats is fixed in each category of students, teachers, registered graduates and alumni. As a result, as soon as the specified number of registrations are completed in any category, the registration of this category will be automatically closed.
